San Miguel Twists &Turns

This is a studio painting based on digital images and several plein air studies at the location just outside the City of Telluride, Colorado, on the San Miguel River. The original plein air study was painted on site in 2008 and is entitled "Telluride Afternoon".

This painting is framed in a Gallery quality gold colored 3 & 1/2 " wood frame.

NOTE: I painted "San Miguel Twists and Turns" in 2024 using Cobra water soluble oil paints for the first time to get away from the harsh solvents associated with my past regular oil paints.  I used water to dilute the oil paints as well as to clean the brushes.
